Every dawn offers a battle
For I am there to choose it.
Choose to fight,
Choose to forgo,
Choose the life of a war-field;
The count of it is unfathomable
All I do is conquest each of it.
Conscient I am of the consequences of my choices,
Thereby made you hear all my voices.
Neither the fere nor the foe count much on me;
neither here nor there winning or loosing matters;
What matters is survival
And I do it with utmost grace.
It may come hell or high water
Yet you shall find me Invincible.

‘Heroes’ being NOT so Heroic

  A wave of change in the male protagonist’s narrative gives a room for fresh storytelling in the Telugu Film Fraternity.  For ages, the films in the down south have had a stereotypical outlook with a mainstream “Heroic” characterisation of the male protagonist in the films. The character design of such hero-centric cinema usually depicts masculinity, deep-rooted patriarchy and “Hero” acts as the torch-bearing saviour of the storyline. From breaking randomly into songs till solving the conflict of the story, the Telugu ‘Heroes’ have done it all. The Hero of the film is usually portrayed to be idealistic and his flaws or demeaning behaviour is covered by humour, largely. This conveys an intended glorification of the character and sets the cinematic tone for the protagonist, lying far away from reality.
